Mauna Kea Beach Hotel's Discovery Center honors and showcases traditional Hawaiian, paniolo and island culture as well as the history of the Kohala Coast where the story of King Kamehameha I ties in to the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel’s backyard. The Discovery Center also provides daily activities for guests and their keiki such as lei-making, story telling and scavenger hunts, all to amplify their Hawaiian vacation experience.
