The Kosasa Family Campus at Hoʻopili is the Hawaiian Humane Society’s second location on Oʻahu, and features a 27,000-square-foot shelter that serves the behavioral, medical and socialization needs of more than 10,000 animals each year. Innovative design features were implemented using shelter best practices, such as soft-close kennels, open-air circulation, and dedicated spaces for animal enrichment and exercise to minimize stress and risk of disease transmission for the animals in care.
